Overcomer Verses

When Jesus battled temptation, He weilded the sword of the Spirit, the word of God (Matthew 4:1-11). This is instructive for all believers. If we are going to overcome tempation and live a victorious Christian life, we too must take up the sword of the Spirit and embrace God's promises in His word. Our overcomer verses follow a theme each month. They are listed in our bulletin on a tear off portion so we can hide God's word in our hearts to live as overcomers.
